Our commitment
CRSPoint aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA and the accessibility requirements of the Accessible Canada Act where they apply to a digital publication. Accessibility is treated as an editorial quality issue, not a compliance afterthought.
What the theme implements
- Semantic landmarks and a skip link on every page.
- Keyboard-operable navigation, search overlay, table of contents and consent banner.
- Visible focus indicators with sufficient contrast.
- Text alternatives for images and labelled form controls.
- Colour combinations checked against AA contrast ratios for body text.
- Support for `prefers-reduced-motion`, including a static news ticker.
- Responsive layouts that reflow to 320 CSS pixels without horizontal scrolling.
Known limitations
Third-party advertising and embedded content are outside our direct control. Machine-translated articles may contain terminology that reads awkwardly; the English original is always linked. Tables in data-heavy draw pages may require horizontal scrolling on very small screens.
Feedback
If a page blocks you, email [add accessibility contact] with the URL and a short description. We aim to acknowledge within five business days and to fix verified barriers within thirty days.
Assessment approach
Accessibility is reviewed at each release with keyboard-only navigation, automated contrast checks and manual screen-reader spot checks. This statement does not claim certification by a third party.
