Our commitments

CRSPoint reports on Canadian immigration with accuracy, attribution and transparency. We distinguish clearly between news, explainers, analysis and opinion.

Sourcing

  • Policy stories rely on primary documents: IRCC pages and news releases, the Canada Gazette, regulatory impact statements, provincial bulletins and ministerial instructions.
  • Where we quote a lawyer, consultant or advocate, we identify them and disclose any relevant interest.
  • Statistics are attributed with the publication date and the reference period.
  • We do not publish a draw result, cut-off or quota that we cannot trace to an official source.

News versus advice

News reporting describes what changed. Guides explain how a process generally works. Neither tells an individual what to do. Opinion pieces are labelled and do not represent the views of CRSPoint’s sources or advertisers.

Use of AI

Any automated tool used in research or production is supervised by an editor. Published articles are reviewed by a human before release, and AI is never used to invent quotes, sources or data.

Independence and advertising

Advertisers have no influence over editorial decisions. Sponsored content is labelled at the top of the page and kept visually distinct from news.

Updates

When a program changes, we update the affected guide and record the revision date. Substantive changes are described in the article’s update note.

Complaints

Concerns about editorial conduct can be sent to contact@crspoint.com. We acknowledge complaints within five business days.
