Corrections Policy
How to report an error and how CRSPoint corrects the record.
How to report an error
Email contact@crspoint.com with the article URL, the exact sentence, what you believe is wrong, and a link to a primary source that supports the correction. Screenshots of official pages are helpful when a page is likely to change.
What happens next
We acknowledge reports within two business days and aim to resolve substantive corrections within five. If we cannot verify the claim, we will explain what we checked.
How corrections appear
- Typographical fixes are made without a note.
- Factual corrections carry a dated note at the foot of the article describing what changed.
- Material errors that affect the central point of a story are also noted at the top of the article.
- Clarifications are added when the original wording was accurate but capable of being misunderstood.
Deletions
We do not delete articles to hide errors. In exceptional cases — legal risk, safety or a withdrawn source — an article may be removed and replaced with a note explaining why.
Updates versus corrections
An update reflects a genuine change in policy or circumstances after publication. A correction fixes something that was wrong when published. We label them differently and record the date of each.
